What They Make

Bull Outdoor Products is a family-owned company with its corporate office in Athens, Tennessee. Its fire products sit inside a larger outdoor kitchen line, and this page covers only those. The fire range is two finished fire pits and two build-in kits, plus stainless lids for the kits. Bull's fire features catalog lists no fire tables.

The Small Square Fire Pit measures 43 x 43 x 22.3 in and runs on propane. It has a porcelain tile top over a Quartzsite base in five colors or natural stone in four, and lava rock is included. The Slim High Profile Fire Pit is a linear pit, 23 x 56.5 x 22.3 in, for propane or natural gas, with the same tile top over a Quartzsite, natural stone or Timber Tough base. Both use a 35,000 BTU stainless burner.

For builders, the Rectangle Fire Pit Pan with H-Burner Kit pairs an 11.9 x 35.9 in stainless pan with a 35,000 BTU H-burner on propane. The Round 10 in Fire Ring Kit is a 10 in stainless burner in a 14.4 x 14.4 in pan. Bull lists all four products as CSA Approved.

How to Tell Their Pieces Apart

Every Bull fire product uses a 35,000 BTU burner. That's about half the 65,000 BTU listed on most of Prism Hardscapes' GFRC pieces.

Finish is the main difference. The finished pits use porcelain tile, Quartzsite, natural stone and Timber Tough, the same finishes as Bull's outdoor kitchen islands. The two pits arrive finished, and the two kits are for builders setting a burner into their own enclosure.

Check the fuel on the exact product before you plan a gas line or a tank. The Small Square is propane, and the Slim comes in propane or natural gas. The Round 10 in kit's product page is inconsistent on fuel, so confirm it with Bull.

Who It Suits, and Who It Doesn't

Bull makes the most sense for someone already building a Bull outdoor kitchen who wants a fire pit to match. We read it that way because the range is small and shares its finishes with the kitchen line.

For a fire feature on its own, we wouldn't start here. The range is small, and 35,000 BTU is a modest output.

The warranty is one year on parts and construction materials, to the original consumer purchaser only, and it excludes commercial use.
